What type of support would you like to give?
Please look at the alternatives below as you consider working with us. We are very flexible and welcome many to partner us in our mission with and without membership, so don't be put off. However, we do believe that membership provides a great sense of team and encouragement as together we seek to bring about positive changes in the world in which God has placed us. Please contact the Mothers' Union Office to discuss your decision.
Branch Member
Many Anglican churches have groups of members (a branch), meeting together to pray, learn and take action for the mission of Mothers' Union. An annual membership subscription is paid through the branch which enables the work of the organisation to be carried out. Funds raised by members then all go to the projects advertised not on administration.
We are always seeking fresh ways for people to express their membership.
Diocesan Member
Some Christians find it difficult to meet regularly with others. Diocesan Membership also involves a subscription and allows the members to express their commitment to our mission in different ways and at times appropriate to their lifestyle.
We encourage all members to be radical in their approach to our mission and seek to identify new ways to fulfil our objectives. Diocesan members are free to participate in all activities and leadership.
Indoor Members and Prayer and Fellowship Groups
We are delighted to be an organisation to which some people have belonged for many (many) years. As an organisation that believes in the power of prayer we are able to give our longstanding members a significant role in praying for our work here and worldwide. Individuals and groups are provided with resources for prayer and share, with others, in an emergency chain of prayer. These members contribute the same subscription.
Friends of Mothers' Union
This category of participating is for those who wish to support the work of Mothers' Union on a regular basis but do not wish for any further involvement. Their contribution is slightly more than for members.
Of course we regards as friends everyone who makes a donation of any kind. Thank you.
